May 26th is an important date to me for 2 reasons, its my anniversary with Fireman Al (which deserves its own post!) and in 2008 it also became my sweet nephew's birthday!
To say Gabe was born early, is an understatement. He was born weighing 12 ounces and was 9 inches long. This boy has overcome so many odds, and he loves his life! He was in the NICU for the better part of the first year of his life. While he has his set backs because of his beginnings, he is always smiling! My sister and her husband couldn't possibly have been prepared for this, but they have done an amazing job! We couldn't be more proud of them.
May, for so many reasons, forces me to look at the things in my life and appreciate all of them.
